  My daughter (11) was referred to Dr. Camara by Lake Minnetonka Orthodontics. For some reason, I was under the impression that the first appointment would be a consult, and any work to be done would take place at a later date. It turned out that my daughter was actually scheduled for a laser frenectomy during the initial appointment. Having not been prepped emotionally for the procedure, my daughter was scared and worried about what was going to happen. The whole thing only took a few minutes, and my daughter experienced no pain, but she still was shaken by the incident. Dr. Camara invited us back for an unofficial appointment so she could talk with my daughter about the next procedure that will happen in a few months. I could tell that Dr. Camara felt badly about my daughter's reaction, and really wanted to make it right. She gave us her cell phone number, and even called later that night to see how my daughter was doing. Talk about bedside manner! This is somebody we will only see a few times, so she really didn't need to establish such a trustworthy relationship. But I am glad that she did, and my daughter is actually looking forward to her next procedure.
